Emotional Tension
Meher and Hania are both crying on their own due to the event. Aasman holds himself responsible for the issues since he forced Hania into marriage with Sarab.
Sukhi advises Hania not take Rano’s gift of the shagun as a sign of their love and blessings. He says they can’t come close to her level, so they are giving it to her.
Family Arguments
Aasman claims he had no idea that one of his daughters would destroy the life of another. As Meher approaches and tosses the shagun thaali, the chunni hits her in the head. She questions her family, wondering why they go through all this trouble for what is essentially a forced one-sided marriage. She requests that Aasman get Sarab and Hania’s divorced.
However, Munni is asked by Sarab’s sisters to force a divorce between Sarab and Hania. Nobody will ever discuss divorce in this house, Munni slaps her. Meher’s family steps in to stop her before she can hit Hania with a vase. She is interested as to whether Hania really is her sister.
Community Reaction
The people who live next to Sukhi gather and shout at her family, accusing them of not deserving to live in this neighborhood. A man was going to dye Sukhi and her family black, but Hania steps in.
Sukhi declares that she has no place in this house going forward after they toss his belongings outside. Hania is warned by Aasman not to reveal her ugly face to them.
Meher says that this is her revenge for taking Sarab away from her.
The fight with Sarab
Hania is angry and crying as she makes her way alone to Sarab’s house. She nearly hit an automobile after turning in front of it. Sarab comes to her rescue, telling her that she cannot die lightly and that she must bear the consequences of her actions, just like he and Meher. He promises to punish her by keeping her alive.
Sarab claims he doesn’t want his family to experience what his family is currently going through. He asks her to stop visiting his home. Hania answers that the only lesson she has learned in life is to keep her loved ones close to her when she asks him where she is going.
She asks why she would break up with him when she was the one who helped him win Meher’s heart. Sarab says she shouldn’t enter his home because the situation is clearly directed at her.
Munni’s Request
Hania responds that Sarab has asked her not to return home when Munni calls and asks her to come home. She is invited to Munni’s house and is asked to stop thinking about Sarab. When Munni’s guests arrive at her house for the ritual but Hania doesn’t show up, she calls Aasman and demands that they carry out every ritual without fail.
With Shagun, Aasman arrives at Munni’s residence. Everyone is shocked when Munni opens the veil and discovers Meher below.
