Mangal Reveals Adit’s Arrest
Adit was taken into custody for stealing, Mangal informs all of them. Everyone is taken aback. Kartik promises to call his lawyer and maintains that he must have been set up.
Mangal asks not to let Papa and Amma know. Kusum begs Mangal for help. When Mangal makes the decision to go, he quickly gets into an auto, but Lakshmi and Kartik are passionate that they go with him.
Adit’s Situation
While in jail, Adit swears to challenge the arrest. He is told to sit in jail by the inspector. Bhushan is served tea by Shanti, but he feels there must be something mixed in. When Mangal shows up, Adit is taken aback. Kartik claims that Adit was taken away on false allegations.
Investigation and Confession
Officers use Kartik to take pictures. Adit declares that he too wants to be a hero. Adit is locked up, according to Kartik. Mangal claims in Adit’s favor, highlighting his training and important position. The inspector reveals that Adit spent the weekend in jail after Pappu filed a complaint against him.
Adit reveals that Mohan Das, the general manager of his company, paid him money to deliver to Pappu Yadav. The following day, he gave it to Pappu, but one lakh was missing. He had stored it in the the government. To everyone’s surprise, Mangal remembers taking money for Papa’s medical care. Mangal acknowledges taking the money after the inspector verifies that it was missing.
Conflict and Feelings
Mangal explains what she did, saying that she made an effort to notify everyone but was unable to do so. She cries and says she spent one lakh on her father’s medical care.
Furious, Adit accuses her of destroying his life and making him look bad. Mangal asks Adit to forgive her, and Kartik begs her to let her go. Lakshmi stands by Mangal’s acts, saying they kept their father alive.
Adit’s Pain
Adit declares Mangal his enemy, feeling destroyed and humiliated. Kartik requests Adit’s release from custody and promises to repay the inspector, but the inspector is passionate that the case cannot be closed until Pappu changes his complaint.
Kartik tries to calm Adit as he bitterly claims he knew Mangal would one day harm him.
Mangal’s Distress
Distressed, believing she can do nothing right, Mangal leaves. Kartik reassures her that Adit’s words were motivated by anger, reducing her fears about punishment. Mangal advises that they explain the circumstances to the lawyer.
Adit in Jail
In jail, Adit feels powerless. When Somya pays him a visit, she asks about his health and lets him know that the legal team recommended they avoid the case.
Adit regrets being treated like a criminal and charges Mangal of causing his situation.
When Mangal phones Pappu, he makes threats to keep Adit under arrest. Mangal tells Kartik that she is scared.
