Padmavati’s Devotion and Narayan’s Blessing
Padmavati is praising Narayan while dancing. When he arrives, she is relieved to see him. I am impressed by your commitment, he says. Is it possible for him to bless her? Sure, he replies. She says, “Please bless me so that I can tie Venkatesh with me. I love Venkatesh, but he doesn’t love me.” According to him, love shouldn’t involve binding someone to you.
She says, “I don’t care; I want him because I know my love is real.” You vowed to reward your faithful followers. I’ll keep dancing until I bleed. Alright, I grant you the favors you desire. Saying, “I just want to say that you can’t tie someone in,” he hands her the ropes.
Bhargavi Meets Lakshmi
As Bhargavi discovers Adishakti there during her prayer, she says, “I have come here to make you meet Lakshmi.” I want to tell her that Narayan is a dishonest and liar, says Bhargavi. I want you to meet her, says Shakti. She creates Lakshmi using her abilities. Bhargavi says she can’t be Lakshmi because she is just like me. Shakti says that she is you and not like you.
I have to go now since I fulfilled your desire to meet her. Bhargavi remembers everything as she looks at Lakshmi’s picture. She remembers her time with Narayan when she was Lakshmi and how Rishi forced her to part from him. Shouting, “I am Lakshmi,” Bhargavi breaks down. Hearing this, Narayan smiles.
Bhargavi’s Decision and Confrontation
He comes to her after she calls, telling him that if he doesn’t accept her love, she will use Narayan’s blessed rope to tie him to her. “Love is not about tying,” he says.
Bhargavi, according to her, never returned your love. Love, he says, is not about that. She says, “I have to do this because I can’t live without you.” Using Narayan’s rope, she ties his hands and begins to take him away, but Lakshmi approaches and asks, “Narayan?” She requests that he go.
Says Padmavati, “Who are you?” She says to be Narayan’s Lakshmi, his beloved wife. He’s my Venkatesh, she says, not your Narayan. What we see is not always true, according to Lakshmi.
Did Narayan send her to free Venkatesh, Padmavati asks? I love him. According to Padmavati, I committed a sin when I attempted to tie my God because I was so consumed by greed that I was unable to recognize Lakshmi.
Love is not sin, according to Lakshmi. As Lakshmi’s second avatar, you loved him. She tells Narayan that I split myself into two parts when I had to become Bhargavi. So that I can continue to love Venkatesh, Narayan’s avatar, and our love story can go on, there is one Bhargavi who forgot Narayan and another Padmavati.

In order to bind Venkatesh to her in spite of his lack of love, Padmavati asks Narayan for permission. After realizing she is Lakshmi, Bhargavi approaches Narayan and demands that he return her love or else bind him with a sacred rope.
When Lakshmi shows up, she identifies herself as Narayan’s real wife and says that Padmavati and Bhargavi are two sides of her split personality.
