Oberoi stated. It’s the enjoyed band’s eagerly awaited return.

For those who are unaware, Oberoi faced serious personal difficulties in 2019 during the height of the #MeToo movement after being accused of rape and extortion, which resulted in his imprisonment.

“I would often ask myself, ‘How did I end up here, among these hardened criminals?'” Oberoi recalls writing of his time spent in jail. I obey the rules; I have never even broken a traffic signal. The knowledge that there were others outside who were also fighting an intense battle for me because they understood my suffering gave me comfort even though I was fighting a very difficult battle inside.”

Oberoi acknowledges that this event was a hard awakening for him because he had been living in a bubble his entire life.

“I went six and a half days without eating or sleeping, and I felt like I was going to die. Everyone believed that I would pass away. They didn’t believe I would make it through this difficult time. However, I found courage and hope when I witnessed others speaking up and defending me. However, there were moments when I felt like my life was over.”

Even though Oberoi was freed from jail a month later, he acknowledges that this experience increased his appreciation for human life.

“My time in prison has shown me such brutality and a lack of regard for human life that it has caused me to question everything around me.” I had an accident where I might have suffocated to death. Oberoi stated, “Today, I even appreciate the air I breathe or the trees around me,” avoiding excessive communication.

Oberoi gave a conflicted response when questioned about his arrest and how it affected his career. “My phone crashed because I had so many well-wishers,” to start. Messages from former coworkers from twenty years ago arrived. They found it shocking that someone like me would be connected to such a horrible act. As a result, I received a lot of affection and kindness in order to understand my situation.

“In terms of work, that didn’t come to me for a long time [after coming out on bail],” he continues. I believe that the industry’s associated dual nature may have contributed to my circumstances, in which I received a great deal of understanding but little work.

When speaking about the #MeToo movement, Oberoi calls it a “wonderful” movement that allowed women to voice their suffering. But like any other fantasy concept, it failed. The basic tenet is that gender comes second to humanity. And there are dark shades in everyone. There are many different types of people. Therefore, even though the movement was correct, it was misguided when it was used as a weapon for personal grudges, he says in his conclusion.

Karan Oberoi is poised to make a comeback to the music scene with a new album and profoundly personal insights. He will bring creativity to the music industry along with a more detailed outlook on life and human values.
