Dadi and Dadu criticize Chotan and ask him to leave at the beginning of the episode. Baren requests that they eat. Dadi says no, not even water will do. Chotan says, “You told me to love Lakshmi, and now you’re getting upset with me for doing this.”
Jhanak brings the Guru ji some tea. He says, “Tell me where you learned to dance,” after she expresses liking for the tea. She says, “I’m telling the truth; I’ve never studied dance.” Impossible, he says. She says I learned to dance well from my mother, who was a talented dancer.
Chotan is asked to end the drama by Anjana. Why didn’t you advise me to help Lakshmi succeed, he asks. What do you mean, Dadi asks. Oh, Anjana says, you refer to Lakshmi Mata. Everyone smiles, including Baren. You’re playing tricks again, Mrinalini says.
Chotan says, “I kindly refer to Lakshmi Mata as Pottu; she is everything to me. If you didn’t understand and voiced your disagreement with me, it’s not my fault.” Baren says, “All right, now sit down.”
Guru ji’s Conversation with Jhanak:
He questions as to her name. We’re from Srinagar, she says, and she wasn’t famous. He questions as to what transpired in your life to require you to come here and complete this task. She says, “What should I do? I’m alone in this city and I’m new.” Is your father not there? he asks, and does she need money?
She says that my parents are not present. What happened to your mother, he asks? She says she committed suicide and is no longer alive. What, he asks, but why?
Anirudh’s Concern:
Anirudh returns home. Did you meet Arshi, Shubh questions. Anirudh gives his approval. How is Tanuja doing? She says she wasn’t speaking yesterday. Much better, he says; on Monday, she will be released. “I want to train you, Guru Ji. I believe that only you can make it through the audition round.”
But I don’t want this, Jhanak says. He questions why. Arshi is a skilled dancer, so auditions will be held for other roles, Anirudh says. She needs time to heal. She can join in the dance show in a few days. Pray for her.
Arshi needs to dance, according to Bipasha, but we’re not sure how much time she needs.
Jhanak’s Problems:
Jhanak speaks with Guru Ji. She is asked to dance as though no one else is around. I don’t know how to dance, I’m not a professional, and you have high expectations for me, she says. She says no, that if I take part I’ll lose my job, that if I’m not qualified I’ll lose the show and my job, that there won’t be any chance.
It’s just dance, he says; if you’re good enough, the channel will handle your duties and you’ll appear on TV, which is a huge accomplishment. She says, “I’m looking at my betterment. If I come on TV, who will give me a job?” He says that if it had happened, you would have appreciated your ability.
Family Disagreement:
Anirudh and the family have arguments. I’ll speak with Pandit ji and Shrishti, says Shubh. “No, I don’t want this wedding drama again,” Anirudh replies. You will pass the audition, Guru Ji says; just have faith in my ability to prepare you.
In addition to showing her some western dancing, he asks her to wear ghungroos. Wearing ghungroos is Jhanak. Wonderful, I have been in this line of work for years; I have to inspire you to dance, or it will be wrong, he says.
Don’t worry if you don’t qualify for the job and lose it; I’ll find you another one. Just go register your name and tell me what happened. Are you tired? No, she responds. He promises that you won’t work and will only practice dancing.
She says, “Please don’t tell anyone that I signed up; I’ll have problems.” He says, “Don’t worry, your boss will find out. I’ll let them know that I asked you to try out.” He also asks, “How are you feeling?” and adds, “You’ll be on TV.”
She questions what will happen to those who labeled me a thief when they see me on television.
Anirudh’s Realization:
Tanuja claims that Jhanak left us in the dark. Anirudh says, “I’m not a child; I understand what Jhanak did and why; all I want is for Arshi to get better.” What are you thinking, Guru Ji asks? Just follow my instructions and practice. Jhanak gives his approval. Everyone shows up.
Muskaan’s Comments :
Will Jhanak dance with us, Muskaan asks? Guru Ji thinks she is a big star, but she says her dance was rubbish. He requests that Jhanak go. He gives her a sign. Jhanak gives his approval. Guru Ji says that this girl is not eligible to register for this show and cannot compete with you.
He invites her to get a coffee. He makes fun of her. Jhanak walks away. He believes that I know you’re all upset, so I won’t tell you that Jhanak will be trying out and performing. Jhanak asks why this keeps happening to her; everyone confuses me, but occasionally God does something for me that makes me feel as though he is there, and Maa is constantly keeping an eye on me.
Precap:
Jhanak remembers what Anirudh said. She has on a ghungroo. She leaves to give a performance. She offers prayers. There arrives Anirudh. When they see one other, they are taken aback.
