The Enforcement Directorate (ED) unit in Lucknow called up Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner and social media influencer Elvish Yadav in connection with a money laundering case involving the snake venom incident.

Yadav is a prime suspect in the snake venom case, which was reported under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) following the police in Noida filing a FIR and chargesheet in May.

After stating that his overseas tour would prevent him from appearing on July 8, Elvish Yadav has been asked to come before the ED on July 23 for questioning. Right now, the social media influencer is in the UK.

For those who are not aware, the Gautam Buddh Nagar police connected Elvish Yadav to the use and distribution of snake venom during a rave party in Noida.

A People For Animals (PFA) official filed a First Information Report. The FIR lists five other accused parties in addition to the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner.

Due to the significant financial stakes in the racket, the Enforcement Directorate filed a case under the PMLA in May of this year regarding the snake venom incident.

The YouTuber faced charges under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Wildlife Protection Act, and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

But after being held in the maximum-security facility for almost a week, he was released on bail.
