The story opens with a schoolgirl named Deepika attending class in Jodhpur. Deepika is called to the stage to accept the first prize after the principal goes an invitation to all attendees of DGS Vidya Mandir school. Deepika wins many awards in various fields. Jhanvi, Deepika’s friend, feels jealous of her.
Acknowledgment by Judges:
The judges give Deepika their pens and declare that she represents our nation’s future. The students make fun of the terrible outlook for the future. The students receive a warning from the principal for demeaning someone based only on their skin tone.
Deepika’s Response:
Given that her skin tone is the only characteristic she took on from her mother, Deepika declares herself to be proud of it. She read a poem that her mother wrote, expressing the idea that a person’s character is more significant than his or her skin tone. Every student praises her.
Home Situation:
When Deepika first meets Jhanvi, she gives her all the trophies and tells her that she has won awards for her. At home, Deepika’s stepmother Shobha and Jhanvi’s mother taunt their husband to go bring his daughter. The dad gets set up.
Family Conflict:
As she enters, Deepika informs her father that she has returned home. Shobha shouts that God is showing her sorrow first and asks about the location of her daughter. Jhanvi is seen by Deepika carrying trophies.
Jhanvi gets asked by Shobha if she received all these awards. If she believes Deepika won them, Jhanvi questions. Shobha criticizes Deepika and calls Jhanvi ugly, claiming that their daughter is the most attractive person in the neighborhood.
Father’s Stand:
Shobha’s father informs her that she should have thanked God for sending her a daughter who looks like Deepika. According to Shobha, she didn’t have the courage to cast an evil look at their daughter. Allow Deepika to remain in a corner of the house, she says.
Incident with Shobha:
She is asked to give Jhanvi the bath soap. After removing the soap, Deepika leaves the restroom. Shobha humiliates her by slapping her for using a soap that costs Rs. 100. Deepika is comforted by her dad.
Teacher’s Appreciation:
After a while, Deepika is visited by her class teacher, who congratulates her on her awards. When Shobha finds out of this, she begs the instructor to bless Jhanvi because she has won awards. Deepika won awards, the teacher says.
Separation at Fair:
After tricking Deepika and Jhanvi, Shobha brings them to a fair and leaves from them there. When Deepika can’t find her stepmother, she becomes fearful. She visits a temple and asks God to bring her mother back. She is held by Panditji.
Future Glimpse:
A grown-up Deepika is spotted in a temple, singing and praying, fifteen years later. We meet Dr. Chirag, who gets along well with everyone. When he arrives at the medical camp, he informs his colleagues that he is going to a temple and will return later to pick up patients.
Chirag’s Beliefs:
His coworker questions whether, as a man of science, he believes in religion. According to Chirag, faith and science should exist together; when an unseen virus causes problems, they turn to God.
Deepika’s Understanding:
Following the pooja, Panditji tells her that since she serves God and sings bhajans, she should to ask God for something.
According to Deepika, people like her dark complexion and Saanvra/Krishna combination, so she doesn’t need anything else. Panditji recalls how, fifteen years ago, her mother left her at the fair.
Act of Kindness:
While finishing up some work, Deepika notices an elderly woman passing out. Running in search of water, she takes Panditji’s panchamrit and sprinkles it over the elderly woman. The elderly woman becomes conscious again. When Chirag sees this, he is impressed.
Precap:
An elderly woman says that Deepika needs to find a kind boy. Nature is overlooked by society, according to Panditji.
Chirag’s mom expresses her desire for a stunning daughter-in-law. After attending Jhanvi’s fashion show, she makes the decision to marry her.
