Jahnavi snatches Deepika’s prayer plate and storms off. Chirag notices this. Jahnavi takes the plate to the women and they ask when she bought the idol for her plate. Jahnavi lies, saying she made the idol herself.
Shobha praises Jahnavi, saying she worked day and night on the idol. Lavanya and the guests admire her talent. Chirag is disappointed. The moon appears, and the priest tells the women to see the moon through a sieve and break their fast.
Jahnavi’s Plan to Break Her Fast
Jahnavi picks up a stain remover and looks at Chirag instead of Earth. She decides that Chirag will give her water and break her fast. In the kitchen, fry chilies are cooking, filling the house with sharp smoke, causing everyone to cough.
Seeing Jahnavi cough, Earth gives her water and breaks her fast. Deepika also coughs. Chirag gives her water, and when she says she is fasting, he tells her the time is up and makes her drink water. The smoke clears. Seeing Chirag break the fast, Deepika feels embarrassed. Payal tells Jahnavi she is lucky Earth broke her fast. Saloni says she will call her bhabhi from now on. Jahnavi gets very angry and follows Chirag.
Shobha’s Gift to Deepika and Yashwant’s Reaction
The next day, Shobha looks at the saris and jewelry Lavanya gave Jahnavi. Yashwant asks if Deepika has any of these saris. Shobha says she also chose a sari for Deepika. Deepika is happy to hear this. Shobha gives her a black sari.
Yashwant gets angry and makes fun of Deepika’s color. A delivery boy arrives with a parcel. Shobha rushes to the door and asks him to give all parcels in Jahnavi’s name. The delivery boy says there is a parcel for Deepika. Shobha feels jealous. Deepika opens the parcel and is surprised to find the same pink sari.
Shobha’s Accusation and Yashwant’s Warning
Shobha accuses Deepika of being greedy and receiving gifts from a rich man during the ceremony. Deepika swears she didn’t even look at anyone. Yashwant warns Shobha not to speak badly about his daughter and shuts her up with his proper response. He suspects Birju/Brijesh sent the sari and tells Deepika to marry someone soon and get out of this hell.
Lavanya’s Breakfast Refusal and Family Matters
Lavanya refuses to have breakfast. Chirag joins for breakfast and asks Lavanya what’s bothering her. Lavanya’s son Earth’s tilak is tomorrow, but she wants her elder son to marry first. Manorama arrives at Shobha’s house and yells at Deepika for not coming to pick up her heavy bag. Deepika apologizes and picks up the bag.
Shobha excitedly greets her mother. Yashwant comes in and shows his anger. He says she should stay until Jahnavi’s wedding, which is two months away. She insists she will stay until the wedding, even if it’s four months away. Yashwant leaves angrily. Deepika serves tea to Manorama, who yells at her again. Deepika leaves. Shobha says Deepika doesn’t realize they are throwing her into hell by marrying her off to Birju.
