Worry and Tension

Anuj’s Declaration:
It’s raining when Anuj comes to Anupama and puts an umbrella over her. Dar pe deewana plays aaya tere hai… They visit the lovely glass shelter/house in the garden. Let me say that today, Anuj says. He says that those who claim that the past is lost are unaware of the transformative power of genuine love.
He says that everyone’s dreams are shaped by their past and advises doing what love doesn’t. He claims that even though we had given up, the boat of our lives still heads to the same place.
Respecting Decisions:
He says that his Kanha ji is aware of my efforts to keep my word and expresses how much his broken heart hurt upon seeing you. I appreciate that you decided not to stay with me, he says. Although you were far away from me, he says that you were still with me, and Shruti was very far away.
He says that you are the only person he has ever loved. He claims that although I never confessed my love to her, Shruti was well aware that I only love you and that I am yours. He claims that I have loved you for the 26 years that I was apart from you, from the moment I first saw you, etc.
True Love:
He says, “I’m all yours.” I never kept my love from Aradhya, Shruti, or you, he claims. He claims that although I explained to Shruti that I could give her a name and a relation, but not love or companionship, she was prepared to wait for me.
He says that when I saw you five years later, I had planned to meet you and move on from everything that had happened. However, Aradhya made me make a promise, so I can’t forgive her for trying to harm Devi, your idol, when she should have been tolerated if she had done anything wrong.

Why don’t we both recognize that we love each other, he asks. After hearing his heartfelt and lengthy declaration of love, Anupama withdraws.
Pleading for Love:
We have come this far fighting the world, so why are you backing off? Anuj says, bending down on his knees, “I love you, Anu. You knew this very well.” Saying, “I won’t let you go,” he gives her a hug and begs her not to let their five-year separation ruin their lifelong friendship.
He asks her to acknowledge her love for him as well. After giving him a push, Anupama takes off. Anuj believes she will turn around and give me a quick glance if she truly loves and misses me as much as I do. A song or qawwali begins… Anupama turns to look at Anuj, crying. Anuj smiled.
Anupama’s Guilt
Once home, Anupama gives Devika a hug. Devika questions you, saying that everyone was looking for you. Anupama says,
Mr. Shah was right; I’ve destroyed the relationship between Anuj and Shruti.
Anupama
Devika asserts that you did nothing. Anupama sobs and says, “I tried so hard to avoid Anuj and to explain my heart, but I accidentally came between them.” Perhaps I did something, she suggests, that restored Anuj’s hope.
Devika’s Support:
Did you ask Shruti to tell the food critic to ruin her and other people’s lives, Devika asks, and why are you putting the blame on yourself? It’s her fault, Anupama says. Devika claims that Shruti and Anuj were merely friends. Anupama claims that after getting married, Anuj would have loved Shruti.
Devika claims that Shruti made a mistake that led to their breakup. Anupama claims that I made a mistake. Devika asks her to get ready for her long trip by packing her bags. Which trip, Anupama questions. Devika says on the guilt trip.

The absence of Anupama worries Kavya and Kinjal. After finding her in the rain, Anuj declares his love for her. Anupama feels helpless and regrets ending his relationship with Shruti.
