Shyamlal mentions that many problems have been happening in the house recently and suggests KM needs to manage it. KM agrees to do whatever Shyamlal says and asks him to remove KB from the house first.
Family Conflict
Atal’s siblings visit him and inform him that he is the reason for the troubles in the house. Atal feels concerned and tries to comfort his sisters, but Lalita warns him to stay away and not touch them. She accuses him of causing all the problems.
Shyamlal’s Intervention
Shyamlal knocks on KB’s room door and asks him to come out. KB opens the door, saying he wants to be alone and is not considering suicide. KM feels relieved. Prem and Sada return and inform the family that Atal has not received alms and is hungry.
KM attempts to go to Atal, but Susheela stops her, stating that KM meeting Atal always leads to problems, so KM should avoid meeting Atal until he finishes his repentance. KB and Shyamlal agree and prevent KM from going.
Atal’s Plea
Atal calls out for KM. Saraswati responds that KM will not come, mocking him as the family’s source of trouble. Atal continues to call for KM, but she does not respond. KM remains at home, crying and worried about young Atal. Later that night, Prem and Sada tell Atal that his mother did not come because Susheela Bua, Babuji, and Dadaji prevented her from seeing him.
