Shiva walks over to the elderly couple’s hut. Giving Jalandhar an axe, Kalanemi challenges him to try killing him. He faces an attack from Jalandhar, but is rescued by a shield.
Vrinda’s Prayers
It is the strength of his daughter Vrinda’s prayers, according to Kalanemi. In order to keep her father Kalanemi safe, Vrinda prays to both Shiva and Narayana. According to Kalanemi, Jalandhar will receive protection from both Shiva and Narayana if he marries Vrinda.
He gets asked why he wishes to become the brother-in-law of Jalandhar. According to Kalanemi, being referred to as Jalandhar’s father-in-law is an honor. Jalandhar agrees to her proposal.
Shiva Arrives
Shiva gets to the home of a senior couple. The woman asks Parvati if it’s true that she can sense the god she has been praying to for years. Parvati declares that Mahadev is in fact at her door.
The elderly couple joyfully bows down to Shiva and accepts his blessings. They request that he hold off until they have contacted every neighbor to see Shiva and receive his blessings.
Parvati’s Apology
For not allowing them to explain, Parvati apologizes to Shiva. Shiva describes the origins of Jalandhar. The elderly couple calls the neighbors together and requests that they accept Shiva and Parvati’s blessings. They all arrive at the hut of the elderly couple.
Jalandhar’s Plan
Jalandhar gets ready to launch a flower bomb into the sea, aiming it towards Parvati. Dressed as an elderly man, he makes his way there. Are Parvati and Shiva at odds? the devotees ask. According to Shiv, they argue just like any other couple.
